You
really cannot find a better location for a boutique style hotel
than Village du Pecheur on Praslin Island. Stroll from your room,
passing through the stylish outdoor dining area and you have arrived on
this superb panoramic beach. Considered as being one of the best
swimming beaches in the Seychelles, the gentle gradient of the beach
sweeps out towards St Piere island affording excellent swimming
conditions all year round. This truly is a magnificent beach with
a just few hotels strung along its 1.5km length.
Village
du Pecheur has an arabian-style design, white stucco outline surrounded
by lush tropical vegitation. One of the delights is to sit out on the
al fresco dining area and enjoy the natural surroundings as well as the
local cuisine.
Rooms
are all ocean-facing with the usual facilities one would expect to
find in a boutigue style hotel (see details below). But of course the
hotel's main attraction has to be its proximity to the beach.
Watersports,
boat and island excursions are all available nearby. There are a
couple of good dive centres just along the beach that provide diving
tuition and organised trips to dive sites.
Overall,
a compact hotel, very laid back, in a superb location with regards to
beaches, restaurants and watersports. Please note that only
children over 12 years are accepted.
