It's
not very often one can find a luxury family villa in the Seychelles
that is both easy on the pocket and located in one of the most charming
bays on Praslin Island. Anse Lablaque, on the north east
coast, is rather unique in that it enjoys all year round
protection from the prevailling weather patterns and as a result the
small bay is generally both calm and clear, making it ideal for
snorkelling, swimming and fishing.
Rocky
Bay Villa is perched on the side of the bay, some 10 metres above sea
level with fabulous panoramic views. Offered as a four double
bedroom family villa with options of either self-catering or with the
services of a cook, the villa has a daily maid service and an on-site
manager, there to look after the guest's requirements.
Rocky
Bay Villa has so much to offer the Seychelles holidaymaker.
Spacious air conditioned accommodation, beautiful views around the bay
and out to sea, bedrooms with open balconies and sea views, al fresco
dining on the decking beneath starlit skies, boating facilities from
the villa jetty, fishing from either the villa, boat or from the beach,
snorkelling or watching schools of fish and turtles swimming past. and
last but by no means least, peace and tranquillity. The chances are you
may see the odd traveller or local going about their business, but it
will be a rare occassion.
The
villa is arranged on three levels and has an unusual Mediterranean
Eastern style, with extensive us of brightly coloured fabrics, marble
ornamental fittings and rustic decor. The main entrance level (top
floor) houses four large bedrooms each have en suite bathrooms, air
conditioning and ceiling fans, with open balconies and fabulous sea
views. The master bedroom has a rather decadent private jacuzzi.
Also on this floor is a comfortable lounge area with TV, CD and
DVD gadgets, plus a pair of powerful binnoculars for island and
star gazing.
Downstairs to the
second level takes you to the kitchen and a quirky bar name Basil's
Bar, in honour of the owner. Adjoining is a delightful external
breakfast terrace, the perfect venue for an early morning coffee, toast
and croissants. A few more steps and you are within the panoramic
dining area, complete with waterfall.
At sea level you will find
the villa jetty, perfect for launching one of the canoes, fishing or
simple watching the Seychelles marine life. At this level is a garden
gazebo and decking set out on a rocky outcrop, a sanctuary from the
main villa.
