Located
within the private and beautiful L’Union Estate, these four
individual and very large chalets lie peacefully adjacent to the beach
amongst tended lawns, tropical vegetation, takamaka trees and exotic
flowers. Each chalet has unrivalled views across to Praslin Island. And
how do you arrive at the chalets? - we organise for yopu to take
a gentle 15 minute ox-cart ride from the ferry jetty by which time the
tropical atmosphere of this sleepy island would have relaxed you by the
time you arrive at your chalet.With plenty of room in each chalet, there is a
well equipped kitchen which is ideal for the self-catering guests. Those guests that are booked on Half Board take
breakfasts and evening meals at the nearby sister hotel, La Digue
Island Lodge, where all facilities and activities are available for L'Union
Chalet guests to use. With large living rooms and two full size double
bedrooms, each chalets can accommodate up to a family of six persons. What a wonderful setting for a family holiday!L'Union
Chalets are located within the protected Plantation Estate which
proudly shows off the old plantation house with a traditional coconut
mill and copra factory, a vanilla and cinnamon plantation, boatyard and
of course Source d’Argent, the stunning beach adorned with dramatic
giant boulders that cascade down into the sea. Overall,
the chalets offer relaxed colonial-style accommodation, oodles of space
within, yet with the bonus of you stepping out directly onto one of the
most photgraphed area of the Seychelles. Plenty of places to see
of interest with the added possibility of a fleeting glimpse of the
endemic Paradise Flycatcher.
