The
Islander's Guest House, managed by the Seychelloise owners, provides
good old- fashioned Creole hospitality by way of their 8 rooms closely
positioned to the fabulous Anse Kerlan beach, renowned for its pristine
and somewhat rugged appearance. On a beach walk, the chances are you might see a
distant figure on the horizon but it is more likely that you will have the place
to yourselves. After all, this is Seychelles. We sugggest you
use the Islander's Hotel as a convenient base from which to explore both Praslin
and La Digue.
Unpretentious
accommodation is provided in the 8 rooms, of which 2 are spacious
family units each with 2 bedrooms. Children are most welcome. All
of the apartments have a fully equipped kitchen, living area and
bathroom. Air-conditioning is available, subject to a local €10 per day
per room charge.
The
Islander's Guest House offers self-catering, bed and breakfast and half
board accommodation. The Islander's Capricorne restaurant produces a fine
range of fresh Creole food such as mouth-watering tropical fruit, heavenly breakfasts,
gently cooked fresh fish, simmered in local herbs and spices plus
sublime homemade sorbets. For the dedicated self-caterer, there are
local shops in the vicinity wheresupplies may be obtained.
Transport
around Praslin is catered for by a good public tranport
system at a fraction of the cost of taxis and hire cars. The Islander
staff will be able to provide information on bus time tables.
