| Cousine Island, Seychelles - an All Inclusive Island |
from: £820.00pp |
|
With
an island size of 25 hectares (62 acres) Cousine Island boasts four
luxury private villas in Old French Colonial style, each just 30 metres
from the beach with sea-facing verandas and an extremely spacious
layout. Furnished in a classical style with all modern facilities,
the quality is what one would expect in this exclusive retreat.(see
accommodation facts below). Cousine's dining area - The
Pavillion, is renowned for its famous cuisine produced in the
elegantly designed restaurant, overlooking a freshwater swimming
pool and beyond to the soft sand beach that surrounds the accommodation
area. A well-stocked wine cellar and excellent food based on client's
personal preferences, coupled with complimentary soft drinks, mineral
waters, beers, wines and spirits (except reserved wines and premium
spirits) all combine to make a stay on Cousine Island a time to
remember.
Good hospitality
is the byword of the island's resident manager, who will make every effort to
ensure that your stay on Cousine will be enjoyed to the full. Coupled with his
vast knowledge of the island's flora and fauna, the island is perfect for clients
wanting a holiday within a beautiful tropical environment along with top quality
accommodation and food.
For many years now, Cousine Island has been a
leading force in the struggle to protect and research many endangered species of
the Seychelles Islands. It has been a wonderful conservation success story and
the island proudly boasts a triumphant eco-system programme, a flourishing
habitat for many indigenous species, the restoration of native woodland and an
extensive turtle-tagging and research campaign. The island is visited every year
by over forty hawksbill turtles and a few green turtles to nest on the protected
beaches. The turtle season is between November to March, the bird season between
April and October.
This is also where the Seychelles Magpie Robin
Recovery Program is co-ordinated by Birdlife Seychelles and where a breeding
population of Seychelles warbler, Seychelles fody and magpie robin thrive. The
island’s own conservation officer is available to answer any questions, and
welcomes the opportunity to provide guided walks and, season permitting, early
morning turtle watches. |
