The
atolls of Alphonse and St.Francoise are the ultimate fly fishing
location in the Indian Ocean. After your arrival in the Seychelles we
take you on a comfortable 50 minute light aircraft flight to arrive in
this idyllic coral atoll. From the minute you step onto the island
there is a sense of peace, calm and the exciting allure of what lies
within the surrounding reefs and thousands of acres of sand flats, home
to a formidable range of fly fishing specimens such as Bonefish,
Milkfish, Trevally, Triggerfish (Yellow Margin, Giant and Picasso), to
name but a few.
Alphonse
takes a maximum of 12 fishing guests per week with single accommodation
in air conditioned thatched double bungalows situated beach side on the
east coast. of the atoll. Non-fishing companions sharing
accommodation with an angler are also accepted. Facilities for the
non-anglers include a large swimming pool, tennis courts,
bicycles, snorkelling equipment, snooker table. The island is a natural
paradise with walks, beaches and reefs to explore.
Alphonse fly-fishing package includes:
- Meet & Greet on Mahe arrival and departure.
- 7
nights (Saturday midday to Saturday late afternoon) Full Board
accommodation in comfortable A frames thatched chalets, commencing with
evening dinner on the first day, ending with lunch on the last day.
- 6 days professionally guided fly-fishing on St. Francois and Alphonse. 1 guide per two guests, 2 guests per skiff.
- 1 guest per skiff is subject to availability but 2 rods would have to be paid for in this instance.
- Conservation presentation by ICS ranger
- Air charter round trip Mahe/Alphonse/Mahe.

General Notes
Personal
fly-fishing gear strongly recommended, although the Alpohonse
fly-fishing centre has a selection of flies, lines and clothing. All
fishing is on a catch & release basis, using barbless hooks. Only
flats fly-fishing is offered, no deep/blue water fishing activities. No
room service or minibar in the chalets.
